Please ask your care providers to seal your placenta in a pathology tub or double-bag in pathology or biohazard bags. Where possible, please place in your room fridge. Please contact me within a few hours of birth, or in the morning for night births. If you are unsure whether your placenta is suitable for encapsulation, please keep cool and contact me so I can assess your circumstances.
